Become a Children's Champion

NC Children’s is for every child in every county, but North Carolina is a big state. We need champions in every community to help tell our story, whether to local civic organizations, parent groups, the chamber of commerce or your local legislator.

Share your story

Since we began planning NC Children’s, we have met many families who demonstrate the need for a freestanding children’s hospital in North Carolina. Families like Ana’s, who moved to Philadelphia for six months to save her life, or Charlie, whose mother took him to Boston for complex abdominal surgery so he could live a typical life.

Although the hospital will not open until the early 2030s, if you have an interest in pediatrics, administration or philanthropy, take a look at the career pages of our parent hospitals, UNC Health and Duke Health.
