The North Carolina Children’s (NCC) Campus represents a bold step forward in delivering exceptional pediatric care, grounded in the mission to “create a world-class children’s health system dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in North Carolina and beyond.”

This visionary campus will include state-of-the-art facilities, thoughtfully designed to provide comprehensive, family-centered care and support.

Key components of the campus

Rendering of NC Children's HospitalKey components of the campus will include:

  • A 500-bed pediatric hospital with an integrated central utility plant to support around-the-clock care and operations.
  • A 70-bed pediatric inpatient behavioral health hospital, also offering robust outpatient mental health services to meet the growing needs of children and adolescents.
  • A comprehensive medical office building, featuring an ambulatory surgery center, outpatient clinics, and specialty care services in a single, accessible location.
  • An administrative office building to support essential non-clinical operations, education, and collaboration among care teams.

Structured parking facilities for patients, families, and staff will also be developed as a vital part of the overall campus infrastructure.

Together, these facilities will form an integrated, healing environment where clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care converge—serving children and families across North Carolina and beyond.
